You might recognize these markings printed on undeliverable mail returned from your last mailing? If so, your mailing list may need to be "enhanced".

Since people tend to move frequently, you should keep your list up-to-date. It’s a good idea to refresh your list every 12-18 months. Each undeliverable address results in wasted postage (20-34¢/bad address) and wasted mailer cost (3-15¢/bad address).

Even though there are costs associated with enhancement services, you will save a ton of money by reducing the number of undeliverable addresses. You will also see an increase in response rates - by better targeting homeowners most likely to be interested in your products or services. According to Ed Meyer, a direct marketing guru, "Success in direct mailing is based on the following ratios: 40 percent list, 40 percent offer, 20 percent everything else". An accurate list is very important to the success of direct mail.

  • Address Standardization
    This service standardizes your list to USPS specifications. Save on postage, reduce returns and eliminate keystroke errors. Verify and correct any U.S. address. Add ZIP+4, Carrier Route, Delivery Point, Check Digit and more. This service is typically used to clean up existing lead or customer lists. Estimated cost is $349, but may vary depending on the size of your list.
  • Geo-Coding
    MarketSharp’s Jobsite Radius Marketing search feature gives you the ability to quickly prepare mailings to be sent around in-progress or recently completed jobs. Your prospect database needs latitude and longitude coordinates to do radius searches. The Geocoder service appends latitude and longitude coordinates to prospect, lead or customer lists. This service is typically used on prospect lists that do not contain latitude and longitude coordinates.
  • List Refresh
    If you’ve purchased a consumer list from MarketSharp in the past you can repurchase the same list at a reduced rate. Once you get the new list we simply delete your old list and replace it with the new one. The new list includes new homeowners who have moved into the area since you last purchased your Prospect list. A special "refresh rate" is only applicable to customers who are repurchasing a consumer list which was originally purchased from MarketSharp. Not applicable on specialty files or business files.
